Several years ago, we showed up at a beautiful home here in Denton to do some tree pruning and other tree service needs for a nice older gentleman who’d called only a day earlier about two overgrown oaks. And he was right, too — it’d been at least 10 years since he’d messed with those trees, and now several branches were hanging over his roof and driveway.
We exchanged pleasantries in the front yard for a few minutes while my team and I set up for the job. And right before he walked away, he asked a simple question: “Why do you have the words ‘clean edge’ in your company name?”
I promise that I wasn’t trying to sound rude or arrogant, but the words just sorta came right out of my mouth with ease …
“I’m happy to tell you, sir. But you’ll also see in a few minutes.”
Sure enough, he knew why when we were done. Every tree branch we took off, trimmed back, or cleaned up had the cleanest edges — the mark of a true professional vs. a weekend warrior with a blunt chainsaw. Several pesky stumps from older trees in his backyard vanished without a trace. And more importantly, the entire yard was cleaner than before we arrived.
“You’re right. You don’t need to tell me why,” he said with a laugh.
I chose that story to kick off our first blog post because it speaks to the very heart of what we do, why we do it, and why we’ve managed to stay in business as your favorite “tree service near me” professional for all these years. More than just mindlessly hacking off a few tree limbs here and there with a chainsaw and hoping for the best, every cut we make has a purpose. We know what’s best for each tree and customer and breeze through projects some tree removal companies simply can’t or don’t want to handle. And when the job is done, we take pride in a prompt and thorough clean-up to ensure your satisfaction. It’s the Clean Edge difference!
